Integrations with Runecast

Alongside the many systems which Runecast supports and deploys on, our platform integrates with many different 3rd party tools to make your work smoother and easier.
ServiceNow Logo
ServiceNow
Runecast’s integration with ServiceNow allows users to take advantage of Runecast’s capabilities in their own environment. It enables them to track and manage issues that are identified in their infrastructure directly from within the ServiceNow platform.  Users can generate  and assign support tickets based on new findings in the environment, according to a predefined criteria. The plugin also monitors previously generated tickets for changes and provides updates when available.

This helps users to resolve problems more efficiently and improve the overall stability and performance of their virtual infrastructure.
Jira Logo
Jira
The integration of Runecast with Jira enables the creation of Jira issues directly from Runecast. By integrating with Jira, Runecast allows users to track and manage issues that are identified in their virtual infrastructure directly from the Jira platform. This can help users to more efficiently resolve problems and improve the overall stability and performance of their virtual infrastructure.
OpenID Logo
OpenID Connect
Runecast can integrate with OpenID Connect (OIDC) to allow users to authenticate and log in to the Runecast platform using their existing user accounts. By integrating with OIDC, Runecast can make it easier for users to access and use the platform, as they do not need to create and manage separate login credentials for Runecast. Instead, they can use their existing account to log in to Runecast and other OIDC-enabled applications and services.
vSphere Client Plugin Logo
vSphere Client Plugin
Runecast’s integration with vSphere Client Plugin allows users to access and analyze the data from their VMware vSphere environment within the vSphere Client interface. It will analyze each selected object from your vSphere Client inventory. This can be more convenient and efficient for users who are already familiar with the vSphere Client, and use it regularly to manage their virtual infrastructure.
REST API Logo
REST API
Integrating Runecast with a REST API allows you to access Runecast's functionality and data programmatically, using standard HTTP requests. This can be useful if you want to automate tasks, integrate Runecast into your own applications or scripts, or build custom integrations with other tools. REST API is a well-established, standardized way of interacting with a web-based service which allows you to access the data and functionality of a service over the network, which means you can use Runecast from any device or location that has a network access to it. This can be especially useful if you are managing a large, distributed environment and need to access Runecast from multiple locations.

Your deployment options with Runecast

Runecast can be deployed on the following platforms:
VMware vSphere, as a pre-packaged OVA image available on the Runecast Portal or the VMware Marketplace.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), as a pre-built AMI image available on the AWS Marketplace.
Microsoft Azure, as a pre-built image available on the Azure Marketplace.
Kubernetes, via Helm chart hosted in the Runecast Helm chart repository.

Integration of remediation options with Runecast

Runecast has integrated the following options so that you can generate a remediation script according to your environment. No matter what environment you have, you can generate a remediation script using one of the options below. Whether you have VMware (Ansible or PowerCLI), AWS (AWS CLI, AWS Tools for PowerShell) or GCP(GCP CLI) tool, we always provide the necessary option for you.
Ansible is an open-source automation platform that allows users to automate and manage various IT tasks, including configuration management, application deployment, and cloud provisioning.
PowerCLI is a set of PowerShell modules for managing and automating tasks in a VMware vSphere environment.
AWS CLI is a command-line interface for interacting with Amazon Web Services, allowing users to automate tasks such as creating and managing resources on the AWS platform.
AWS tools for PowerShell is a set of PowerShell cmdlets for managing AWS resources.
GCP CLI is a command-line interface for interacting with Google Cloud Platform, allowing users to automate tasks such as creating and managing resources on the GCP platform.
In simple terms, these tools allow users to automate tasks and processes in their respective environments, saving time and reducing the risk of human error. Runecast offers you the opportunity to generate the remediation scripts which can then be used by any of these tools to fix the issues that Runecast found in your environment.
